Might and Magic Heroes VI offers prominent features such as Mix the RPG and Turn-based Strategy, Shape your Destiny, Multiple Paths, and more. During the gameplay, the player can move in the grid-based map to attack enemies. There are different factions available, and each faction has two types of heroes and every unit in the faction has the turns and upgrade combats as they affect the gameplay. Like previous entries, the player can select between Single-player or Multiplayer modes, and command a number of heroes and towns connected with different factions, controlling armies of creatures between turn-based combat and tactical overland exploration system to complete the conditions of victory. The storyline revolves around the five heirs to the Griffin dynasty embarks on an epic quest to repel the demon invasion. It is the sixth title in the series of Heroes of Might and Magic video game and takes place in the fictional world of Ashan.
